36th BCVS Grand Raid
The Grand Raid BCVS, the Swiss Mountain Bike Marathon, has been thrilling cyclists since 1990. This marathon will take you from Verbier to Grimentz. It is recognized as one of the most challenging high-mountain mountain bike races. Located in the heart of the Valais Alps, in an alpine playground, the route winds through various valleys, reaching its highest point at Le Pas de Lona, at an altitude of over 2,700 meters.

Runners who fail to pass through the mandatory checkpoints along the course will be disqualified for safety reasons.

Important information:
Hérémence Parking Lot
Vehicles parked along the roadsides in Hérémence must be removed by Saturday, August 22, 2026,
no later than 10:00 p.m.
You will be liable for a fine and impound fees if you fail to comply.
We recommend that you use the organized transportation services departing from Sion, carpool, or park in a marked parking space.
E-bike Category
The e-bike route is identical to the official route, including the section through Pas de Lona.
Information:
- Batteries may only be replaced at the designated service stations along the course, which are located at the same spots as the aid stations.
- You can bring your battery to the technical booth during bib pickup on Friday.
- These will be dropped off at the following locations: Evolène and/or Eison. You can pick them up in Grimentz at the finish line at the end of the day (around 6:00 p.m.) or at the Grand Raid BCVS office starting the following Monday.
- It is strictly prohibited to carry a battery on your person during the race.
- There are no podium awards planned for this category.
