Registrations
How do I register?
All registrations are made online directly on the Datasport website.
Registration deadline:
- Online until Thursday, August 20, 2026
- On site on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the race number ceremony in Sion and Verbier.
How old do you have to be to take part in the BCVS Grand Raid?
From age 15 for all courses. But 18 for the Verbier-Grimentz route.
If you are a minor, you will be asked to provide a parental certificate (available under the registration tab).
And if you’re under 15, you can take part in the Raidy.
Race bibs distribution
How do I get my race number by post?
Simply check the “Mailing” option on Datasport when you register. New for 2026
All those who register for the Grand Raid BCVS before May 31, 2026 will receive their race number by post (free of charge).

How do I pick up my number on site?
Numbers will only be issued in person to those who have not chosen the postal option or who have registered after 10.08.2026.
Race bibs can be picked up in Sion (at Maison Gilliard, Route de Loèche 70, 1950 Sion) for the races starting in Nendaz, Hérémence, Evolène, Nax, and Le Raidy. In Verbier (at the Parking de la Poste, Rue de la Poste 2, 1936 Verbier) for participants registered to start from Verbier only.

Can a friend pick up my race number for me?
Yes, a family member or friend can pick up your race number, if you haven’t chosen the postal delivery option. Pick-up only in Sion (Nendaz, Hérémence, Evolène and Nax departures) or Verbier (Verbier departure only).
How do I get my race number if I live outside Switzerland?
If you live outside Switzerland, you can have your race number sent to a postal address in Switzerland (at a friend’s house). Simply tick the box in your personal space on Datasport.
Otherwise, you can pick up your race number at the organized drop-off point in Sion or Verbier (on Fridays).
When will I receive my race bib in the mail?
Race bibs will be mailed during the week of August 12, 2026.
Raidy – Kids Race
Where will the Raidy take place in 2026?
As the day in Sion no longer takes place, the Raidy for categories U5 to U11 will take place in Grimentz on Saturday August 22, 2026.
Numbers can be handed in by post or on site before the start of the race.

Yes, registration for the U5-U11 Raidy remains open until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
Riders
How do I get to the start of my race?
- By your own means.
- With organized buses from Sion to Verbier, Nendaz, Hérémence, Evolène and Nax. You can book your transport directly when you register. All transport information here.
I booked a bus ticket. How do I get it?
- If you have reserved a bus ticket organized by the Grand Raid BCVS to travel to a starting point, the ticket will be sent via email in PDF format during the week of August 12, 2026. You’ll need to show it to the bus driver on Saturday morning.
- For those who have not reserved their tickets in advance, before the deadline: the organized transportation tickets must be picked up at the race packet pickup in Sion or Verbier.
What will I find at the various refreshment points?
The following items are available at each feed station:
- Water
- Isotonic (Powerbar)
- Coca-Cola
- Cereal Section (Powerbar and Migros)
- Fruit (apples, bananas, oranges)
- Cheese
Bottles of water and Isotonic will already be filled and at your disposal.
Thank you to Migros for its support with supplies.
Are personal belongings repatriated after each departure?
Yes, we organize the repatriation of private belongings to Grimentz in the arrival area, for each departure.
Is the technical inspection of my bike compulsory?
Technical inspection of bicycles is no longer compulsory for participants. However, it is still highly recommended and advisable.
- If you would like to have your bike checked, please contact our Check-Point partner stores before the race.
- Technical assistance is available on the course during the race at our technical posts.

Results and podiums
Is there a podium for every category?
No, a minimum of 10 participants per category is required for a podium to be declared.
When and where will the awards ceremony take place?
When: Saturday, August 22, 2026: Check here for the schedule.
Where: in the large finish line tent in Grimentz.
